PMAN LEADERSHIP
Leading the Future
of Nigerian Music
Meet the dedicated leaders guiding PMAN's mission to protect, empower, and advance the interests of musicians across Nigeria.

Pretyy Okafor
National President — PMAN
PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
Message from
the President
“The strength of PMAN has always resided in the talent, dedication, and collective spirit of our members. Together, we are not merely an association — we are the conscience of Nigeria's music industry.”
Over the past decade, the Nigerian music industry has achieved global recognition that was unimaginable to earlier generations of musicians. Afrobeats is a worldwide phenomenon. Our artists are selling out arenas from London to Los Angeles. Yet for too many musicians at home, basic protections, fair compensation, and professional recognition remain out of reach.
PMAN exists precisely to close that gap. Our mandate is clear: to represent every professional musician in Nigeria — from the concert halls of Lagos to the performance stages of Maiduguri — with equal dedication, equal voice, and equal protection under the law.
My commitment to you, as President, is to build a stronger, more transparent, and more impactful PMAN. One that is financially sustainable, institutionally credible, and nationally respected. One that negotiates with governments and corporations from a position of strength because it is backed by a unified, empowered membership.
